The Role:Purpose: Provide primarily study-based petrophysical support to well teams and explorationists alike. Key advisory role for well planning and execution teams and support for all petrophysical activities. Position covers all UK operated and non-operated work. Accountabilities and End Results: • Responsible for performing studies and for delivering key parameters and interpretations (por, Sw, FWL etc.) to subsurface team at prospect, well, field and regional level. Parameters for reservoir models and reserve calculation/reporting are critical. QA/QC all petrophysical work. • Assist team in providing the timely and accurate interpretation of wells and communication/explanation of results to asset, management and government. Deliverables are CPI log and “Gold” curves. • Will work closely with staff Petrophysicist and provide mentoring and support as required. Primary Functions & Dimensions: • Undertake small (several well) to large-scale (Field/Regional level) petrophysical studies to extent and timescale requested by customers. • Mentor and support junior petrophysicists and other members of the subsurface community. • Assist in the real time petrophysical analysis of Op / Partner Op wells for key decision-making and management briefing. • Advise on formation evaluation programs including use of current or new technologies. • Help to compile and QC all petrophysical well results and data (notably FWR and final comp log) and satisfy defined OGA data requirements. • Maintain strong links to industry bodies and peer groups to ensure current best practices.The Company:Our Client uses its pioneering spirit to responsibly deliver energy to the world. With more than 30,000 employees, our Client works worldwide to consistently deliver top performance, value and to maintain the companys global marketEssential Skills / Qualifications:• Expertise in corporate standard Techlog software. • Experience of log interpretation gained as a geologist or through a service organisation, preferably a major wireline or LWD company. • Expert in basic and advanced petrophysical interpretation. Able to produce rush CPIs. • Good current knowledge of FE tools (wireline, LWD, coring) and their applications. • Good knowledge of SCAL (Special Core Analysis) 2.
