Madrid, Madrid provinciaHis / Her main responsibilities will be to:
To design, plan and conduct integrated petrophysical interpretation (advanced and quick look) of well logs for all wells in RKF field (Algeria), in addition to create reservoir summaries sorted by zone, project and cut-off levels.
Identify mineralogy and lithology, locate and quantify the hydrocarbon bearing reservoir rocks: porosity, water saturation, net pay, fluid type, estimating permeability and finally reporting the conclusions. Provide assistance to supervise and validate execution of logging operations.
Collaborate in the well data acquisition, choice of logging tools and design of the logging program for the RKF redevelopment wells.
Participate in the technical bid preparation, evaluation, recommendation, awarding, management, supervision and follow up of contracts for an effective electrical logging acquisition and petrophysical interpretation.
Validation of raw log data, checking the data is properly acquired, labelled and indexed. Log editing, depth matching, log normalization and core-to-log correlation. Provide advice and support on electrical logging matters to the database management and digital transformation groups.
Supervise the identification and picking of formation tops, reservoir zonation, rock typing and well-to-well geological correlation.
Participate in the selection of the acquisition of wireline pressure points, fluid samples, sidewall cores and intervals to be perforated, tested and completed, in addition to do follow up testing and completion operations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
BSc in Geology and MSc. in Petroleum Geosciences, with a strong foundation within petrophysics, log analysis and formation evaluation.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in petrophysics, lithofacies interpretation from logs, rock typing and geological modeling, preferably in fluvial siliciclastic rocks.
Deep knowledge of use petrophysical interpretation software and digital transformation capabilities.
Knowledge in other geological disciplines, such as stratigraphy, sedimentology and petrology and knowledge of special petrophysical techniques, core analysis (RCAL/SCAL) and integration of log data with cores and production tests.
Fluent in English (oral and written) and valuable basic level of French language.
