Sales Representative
Oil and Gas
Based in Calgary, AB

We are seeking an experienced, energetic and self-motivated Sales Representative (Account Manager) to join our team in servicing our clients in Calgary and other areas throughout Western Canada as required. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, this position is responsible for supporting and expanding the company’s market share in the Petroleum industry through growth of existing and generation of new client business.

As a Sales Representative your responsibilities are:
Achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company’s products and/or related services
Personally contact and secure new business accounts/customers
Develop and execute strategies to promote Bureau Veritas Canada services in the Oil & Gas Sector within Western Canada
Gather the “voice of the customer” and leverage personal experience to define sector requirements and unmet wants and to shape our value proposition and service offering to the customer
Manage significant account relationships and ensure consistent delivery of our service to meet customer expectations. This will include a list of specific clients for which this person will be solely responsible
Staying current on Oil & Gas guidelines, best practices and regulations in Western Canada
Act as a key liaison between the client, the laboratory, and senior Bureau Veritas management
Timely transfer of all related Sales activity into customer relationship management (CRM) system
Position is based in Calgary, Alberta. Out of town travel will be required.
You are an ideal Sales Representative if you have:
A minimum of 2 years post-secondary education in a related discipline to our industry (i.e. Sciences)
Previous experience in the Oil and Gas sector
3-5 years of proven sales experience
Willingness to travel outside of Calgary on a monthly basis
Results-orientated focus and are able to work both independently and within a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and problem solving skills
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and customer relationship management software
Excellent time-management, multi-tasking and priority setting skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Results-driven, action-oriented and energetic outlook
Valid driver’s license and demonstrate safe driving record
