Our intent is to become the worlds leading integrated energy company. The Exploration Resource Assessment Department is seeking a top Petroleum Resources Analyst. You will be a multidisciplinary professional with in-depth knowledge of geoscience from basin to reservoir scale, petrophysics, petroleum engineering, statistics and economics. Reporting to management and working in a specialized team you will integrate and analyze multi-disciplinary petroleum resource data in accordance with the Petroleum Resource Management System (PRMS) resource classes Minimum Requirements As the successful candidate you will have a Bachelors degree in Geology, Petrophysics, or Geophysics. Preferably, you will hold a Masters degree and PHD. You will have 10+ years industry experience, preferably this experience will have been acquired in a Major or Independent oil company.Advanced knowledge of Excel and VBA is a plus. Duties and Responsibilities You will be required to perform the following:Analyze resources data geographically and its changes, trends through time over several decades. Forecast petroleum resources changes based on the resource analyses and the companys investment, business and operation plan activities. This includes seismic data acquisition, processing, interpretation, prospect generation and drilling. Identify uncertainties, quantify them, identify risks and propose risk mitigation plans. You will help develop specialized resource assessment database systems, and on short notice, integrating and analyze resources data to answer specific questions for reporting to senior management. This includes making informative graphics to convey often complex messages simply.
