The Exploration Resource Assessment Department is seeking a top Petroleum Resource Analyst. Working in a multidisciplinary team you will analyze geoscience from basin to reservoir scale, petrophysics, petroleum engineering, statistics and economics. You will integrate and review multidisciplinary petroleum resource data in accordance with the Petroleum Resource Management System (PRMS) resource classes. Minimum RequirementsAs the successful candidate, you will have a bachelor degree in geology, petrophysics, or geophysics. Preferably you will hold a master or Ph.D. degree. You will have 10+ years of industry experience, preferably acquired in a major or independent oil company.Advanced knowledge of Excel and VBA is a plus. Duties & ResponsibilitiesYou will be required to perform the following:Analyze resource data geographically and its changes/trends through time over several decades. Forecast petroleum resource changes, based on the resource analyses and the companys investment, business and operation plan activities. Information used will include: seismic data acquisition, processing, interpretation, prospect generation, and drilling. Identify uncertainties, quantify them, identify risks, and propose risk mitigation plans. Quality checking and compiling resource data sets.Build purpose-oriented MS Access to use the corporate Oracle system. You will help develop specialized resource assessment database systems.Integrate and analyze resource data to answer specific questions to report to the senior management, and develop informative graphics to convey complex messages simply.
