General Overview

Driving a company van servicing our customers across southwestern Ontario

Ensure compliance with company policies and standards for Health and Safety

Ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment at all times

Must be mechanically inclined with an affinity for solving mechanical problems

Eagerness to learn and take pride in your work to ensure customer satisfaction

Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine, controls, or control media within capabilities as required to ensure quality of production

Must be organized, timely and professional at all times

Follow manufacturing and processing procedures, set machine or equipment controls, carry out production and inspection processes

Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on any equipment and tools

Make wise judgements when working independently with no direct supervision

Maintain a clean working area or vehicle free from dirt and debris between tasks and at end of day

Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity, product quality, and safety

Communicate with supervisor, engineers, production control, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues

Job Requirements

Valid Ontario Drivers Licence with clean driving abstract

TSSA certification of PMH or PMH3 required

Knowledge of steel piping and tube sizing

Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner such as grinders, saws, drills, oxy-acetylene torches and metal working equipment

Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with moderate computer skills, utilizing measuring devices in metric and imperial scales.

Basic understanding of geometry and trigonometry

Ability and willingness to travel overnight

Ability to perform strenuous physical labour, willingness to work outdoors

Forklift licence preferred

Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands, both in a team and independently

Work Conditions

Exposure to hazards associated with the oil and gas industry

Use of required personal protective equipment

Operation and use of necessary tools, machinery, or equipment

Extended periods of standing, and other physically demanding conditions

Lifting, moving, or manipulating objects up to 50lbs or 22.7kg.
