Description

We are looking for a self-motivated landman to join our team. This position requires a strong knowledge and application of negotiation, organization, and communication skills. You will be responsible for performing and directing land functions including lease acquisitions, title examinations, abstracting, securing of curative, negotiations with landowners and companies, drafting and monitoring of oil and gas exploration/development activities. This position routinely interacts with multiple disciplines such as engineering, geology, finance, and legal.Other responsibilities include:Manage run sheets, mineral ownership reports, leasehold takeoffs, complex mineral titles with depth severances, WI/NRI calculations, lease analysis, HBP title, due diligence of producing properties, and mentoring junior staff or other Technical staff.Interact with landowners; acquire oil and gas lease interests, surface interests and various permits for assembling prospects.Advise management on potential acquisitions and/or trades in the area of Interest.Examine, negotiate and prepare and/or review agreements including leases, farm-outs, JOA’s, term assignments and operating agreements required for drilling wells to evaluate and/or develop acreage.Work towards developing assets as part of an active drilling program and acquire or divest assets as needed.Job Type: ContractExperience:Landman: 1 year (Preferred)
