Part Time Position
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours on, 40 hours off

As a PETROLEUM FIELD SAMPLE COLLECTOR, your main responsibilities are:
Collect oil and gas samples from various customer sites in Fort St. John and area
Review field data to ensure sampling is completed as per applicable test methods and protocols
Adhere to customer requirements regarding handling of samples until delivery to analysis facility
Daily travel to customer sites; availability for extended overnight travel as required
Provide excellent customer service with a professional attitude to ensure all client expectations are met
Work in a safe manner and comply with all environmental, health and safety requirements
Any additional training will be provided
Please note: this position is responsible for oil and gas collection only; environmental sampling is covered by another division of Maxxam
Post-secondary education in a related background; Chemistry Technology Diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience in the oil industry a strong asset
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent customer service skills
Good time management and problem solving skills with keen attention to detail
The ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast paced and changing environment
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
A willingness to travel out of town overnight, some overtime will also be necessary
Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with less than 6 demerits on abstract
Ability to meet pre-access site requirements as indicated by the clients
WHMIS, H2S training will be provided
Working conditions:
Schedule: Monday to Friday (day shift), 1 week on at 40 hours, 1 week off
Some overtime may be required outside of this schedule
This is not a fly in/out position (i.e. no flights provided)
