Req Number: 18287BRPosition Description: We are looking for a Petroleum Engineering Systems Analyst to join Petroleum Engineering Application Services Department (PEASD), under the Exploration and Petroleum Engineering Computer Center (ECC).PEASD Provide best in class and high quality petroleum engineering IT solutions to Saudi Aramco Upstream communities in a cost-effective and timely manner.You will work on innovative ideas and creative solutions for algorithmic and computational optimizations in GigaPOWERS and the next generation reservoir simulator, TeraPOWERS. Also, bring innovative hybrid solutions combining data-driven and AI with numerical approaches. Additionally, you will manage and optimize the high-performance (HP) environment.Minimum Requirements: As a successful candidate, you should hold a Bachelors degree in engineering, preferably in Software Engineering, with minor in Computational Modeling. High level of knowledge in key development numerical scientific and engineering algorithms, high-performance Linux Computing, Many-Core Technologies, and Computational Modeling. 10 years of experience in the aforementioned domains. Knowledge in data science technologies and artificial intelligence techniques & tools.Knowledge and experience on the following:Numerical Reservoir Simulation, Computational Modeling Data AnalyticsAI (Machine learning /Deep Learning) - libraries (tensorflow, keras, opencv)Python/C++/Fortran/Linux scripting (c and Bash scripting)HPC job schedulers (UGE, PBS, Slurm etc.)Duties & Responsibilities: You are required to be able to perform the following:Engineering support to GigaPOWERS & next generation reservoir simulator, TeraPOWERS.Support the high-performance computing environment. Computational code Performance Profiling, Hotspots Identification and Optimization.Enhance performance using Many-Core Technologies such as GPGPUs.Develop new features reservoir simulator features.Identify opportunities in solutions for algorithmic and computational optimizations.Identify opportunities to bring in innovative approaches devising hybrid data-driven and AI solutions with numerical approaches.Design new solutions and participate in the development predictive analytics to optimize simulation convergence, resource predictions, and numerical instabilities.
