The Petroleum Engineering Internship is based out of our corporate headquarters in Radnor, PA. This role will operate within our New Products Development Team; as an intern in this cross-functional group you will work closely with team members across the organization. This intern will be expected to work Full Time Monday through Friday from June through August.
Assist team through use of data analytics platform to study geological formations and analyze hydraulic fracturing and completion performance to determine best practices
Assist team in building well design proposals utilizing Preferred’s technology products
Pull requested data to facilitate drafting of technical reports for technical and nontechnical personnel evaluating the performance of Preferred’s products
Follow company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies
Currently pursuing a degree in petroleum engineering from an accredited institution
One previous internship within the Oil & Gas industry
Knowledge of different completion styles
Candidates must have the following skills/qualifications:
Knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of petroleum engineering
Excellent communication skills and strong analytical problem-solving skills (creative, critical, and open-minded)
Strong curiosity and interest to explore and develop in new technology area
Passion for science & technology, especially in unconventional oil and gas technologies
Flexible team player
