The professional that BHGE is seeking for will be responsible for evaluating Oil and Gas projects as a reservoir engineer and making economic evaluations of the development feasibility of the project. As a consultant, he will handle special projects, as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related earth science or equivalent, with minimum 10 years relevant work experience, or:
Master's Degree with minimum 5 years relevant work experience or
PhD with minimum 3 years relevant work experience.
Support PLs on Formation Testing and Sampling Tools – new technologies introduction. Solid knowledge of well testing, pressure build-up and drawdown design and interpretation.
Lead locally the initiative to standardize the GPE products/deliverables on Frac Optimizations (LWD-WS-CS-PP) to support the opportunities in Southern Cone.
Support the integrated opportunities and technical peer review from subsurface standpoint. Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team for the delivery of a specified scope of work.
Must be keen to learn new technologies and workflows in reservoir engineering.
Knowledgeable of Drilling and Well Completion, Artificial Lift, and Well Stimulation. Knowledge of new formation evaluation technologies in the O&G; Industry.
Proved experience in water and gas flooding studies and EOR methods and processes.
Expert level in Petrel, Eclipse, CMG, IPM, Kappa, Fekete, MS-Office.
Demonstrate strong background and experience in numerical reservoir simulation (Black Oil, Compositional, Thermal), material balance, decline curve analysis, PVT and SCAL data analysis.
Asset evaluation, from first principles as well as audits of client and third party studies and reports.
Production forecasting and Reserves estimation and reporting according to a variety of Reserves definitions and guidelines.
Field development and feasibility studies and production optimization studies.
Integrating reservoir engineering results with other subsurface disciplines, commercial aspects and economics
To present data and reports to clients either individually or as part of the larger project team.
Relevant oil company experience from an operator’s perspective is of great advantage.
Working knowledge of industry practices in reserve estimation including knowledge of the various reserve reporting definitions and guidelines (SPE, SEC) desirable
Proven experience in working with Unconventional Reservoirs (Shale Gas/Oil).
Must be action oriented, ethical in value, and have a strong client focus.
Good organizing, planning, and presentation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Must be highly motivated with excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
Good leadership and project management skills are a plus.
Ability to participate in multiple projects simultaneously.
Fluent in Spanish and English.
Ability to travel 20-30% of time in LATAM.
