Summary of Work

Supervise the Oil and Gas Division’s Pipeline Regulatory Program which includes:
Review / amend regulations for underground gathering pipelines
Ensure operators are compliant with pipeline regulations
Supervise field pipeline inspectors in 3 district offices
Maintain a database containing pipeline information and inspection data
Communicate with district supervisors concerning pipeline issues encountered
Serve as an information source for industry, surface owners, and the public
Seek out training opportunities for pipeline staff
Provide weekly updates to supervisor
Work with local, County, State, and federal agencies regarding pipeline regulations
Schedule may require occasional work after hours, and on weekends and holidays

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with major course work in petroleum engineering, energy, geology or physical science field, or Associate’s Degree in an engineering, energy, geology or physical science field and three years of work experience in regulatory program inspection and enforcement or as a pipeline technician.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Geology, and pipeline experience.
Pipeline supervisory and management experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, individual initiative, and ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
Computer experience with working knowledge of Excel, Access, Outlook, and Word.
