The Petroleum Engineer position can be based out of our corporate headquarters in Radnor, PA or our R&D; facility in Houston, TX. This role will operate within our New Products Development Team; as a member of this cross-functional group you will work closely with team members across the organization as well as directly with our customers.
Use data analytics platform to study geological formations and analyze hydraulic fracturing and completion performance to determine best practices.
With minimal supervision, build well design proposals utilizing Preferreds technology products.
Meet with prospective and existing customers to promote Preferreds products
Draft technical reports for technical and nontechnical personnel evaluating the performance of Preferreds products.
Follow company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
Candidates are required to have a minimum of one of the following qualifications:
BS degree in petroleum engineering with 1-7 years of experience in NA shale basin
BS degree in chemical or mechanical engineering with 2-3 years of experience in NA shale basin
MS degree in petroleum engineering with advanced academic studies on unconventional hydrocarbon reservoirs
Candidates must have the following skills/qualifications:
Broad experience and knowledge in drilling, completions, and reservoir stimulation technologies
Advanced knowledge and solid expertise in hydraulic fracturing
Ability to analyze large data sets and statistics to make conclusions
Ability to effectively use the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of petroleum engineering; continue development of technical expertise and knowledge through experience and application
Excellent communication skills and strong strategic analytical problem-solving skills (creative, critical, and open-minded)
Strong curiosity and interest to explore and develop in new technology area
Ability to work with minimal supervision and in cross-functional teams to achieve a project plan
Passion for science & technology, especially in unconventional oil and gas technologies
Flexible team player with ability to work with wide range of technical teams and projects
Experience in unconventional hydrocarbon plays such as NA shale plays
Work experience with a technology company and/or a well service provider
