Description
Support petroleum engineering activities for the IS oil field, including all aspects of drilling, well completion, workover, well
surveillance, including well performance modelling and interpretation. Participate in development planning, project and
reservoir management activities.
The candidate should demonstrate: (1) the ability to use petroleum principles to solve problems and identify enhancement
opportunities to increase production, (2) strong background in petroleum engineering principles such as well/surface
network modelling, production forecasting, decline curve analysis, well testing, material balance modelling, inflow/outflow
analysis, well drilling and workover planning, economics, (3) good overall oil/gas field operations knowledge, (4) expertise
waterflood optimization, gas cap recycling & associated liquids stripping, working with reservoir engineers, geoscientists,
and facilities engineers, (5) basic knowledge of project management and ability to coordinate, plan and schedule
development activities (6) proficiency in using petroleum engineering softwares, (7) strong interpersonal skills for working in
multi-disciplinary and multicultural project teams, (8) well-developed report writing and presentation preparation and
delivery skills, and (9) fluency in English
Experience & Skills
Minimum 10 years of related work experience as a Petroleum Engineer in the Oil and Gas industry with demonstrated
Reservoir/Surveillance/Production Engineering expertise in large oil and gas fields.
Experience with production rate testing for wells and back-allocation of production data.
Stimulation techniques of carbonate reservoirs
Proficiency in Oil Field Manager (OFM)
Experience in GAP Surface Network Software
Good understanding of surface facilities including multiphase metering
Well Inflow Performance Modelling Software: PROSPER.
Experience with tubing & IPR modelling and Gas Lift design/troubleshooting.
Experience with interpretation of cased-hole production and diagnostic logs.
Experience in well integrity monitoring and management environment is a plus.
Must be able to communicate effectively with peers, field staff and management. Desirable
Education
A BSc degree in Petroleum Engineering or other related discipline.
Minimum 10 years of related work experience as a Petroleum Engineer in the Oil and Gas industry with demonstrated
Reservoir/Surveillance/Production Engineering expertise in large oil and gas fields.
