Role and responsibilities

Handle all the related reservoir engineering activities such as simulation, modelling, well test design and analysis, for analysis and optimisationwith focus on thermal methods for heavy and extra heavy oil formations.
build market position in iran by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.

Main responsibilities:
The role is centred around petroleum, reservoir engineering and procurement, supporting national oil companies in Iran with studies opportunities and tools and equipment from casing, drill bits and drilling pipes to separators, pumps and polly pigs and many more. its required to use connections and relationships at high management level to understand the requirements and securing the deals/sales.

responsible for heading up the expansion in new markets as well as continued expansion among existing clients
responsible to do all the technical work related to reservoir simulation, history matching and well test, etc.
identifies market trends and gaps by researching industry, related exhibitions, publications, announcements and contacting key persons within the market.
exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
prospect for potential new suppliers and turn this into increased business.
submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
forecast sales targets and ensure they are met by the team.
present business development training and mentoring to business developers and other internal staff.
create, negotiate and close commercial agreements
acquiring ideas for new marketing strategy - for - generics/custom / manufacturing arrangements
carrying out the supporting market studies
negotiating and concluding agency agreements, r & d agreements, supply contracts
ensures flawless flow of communication
attending international/domestic trade shows
establishing office and employees in tehran or shiraz after flow of profit

Market intelligence in the following areas:Oil and gas industry in specific focus on:
Ø new product pipelines of the major potential and existing customers
Ø competitor intelligence

Qualifications and education requirements

MBA and engineering degree with more than 10 years’ experience in reservoir engineering and procurement.
preferred skills

it is essential to have a good background in sales, marketing and business development.

Probation: 3 months
Travel requirements: Yes to middle East and North America that would include UAE, Iran, Canada and USA.
