PETROLEUM ENGINEERJob DescriptionCreates procedures, cost estimates and AFEs for new drill wells, workovers, recompletions, and well maintenance operations.Coordinates with others in the organization from office to field personnel to manage projects.Coordinates with field operations to optimize production and minimize downtime through effective production surveillance, optimization and monitoring.Designs, analyzes, and makes recommendations to optimize artificial lift systems, including rod pumps, electric submersible pumps, gas lift and plunger lift systems.Designs and makes recommendations for production, gas plant and SWD/injection facilities/modifications.Analyzes well failures and makes repair recommendations for runtime optimization.Coordinates with management in developing capital programs.Tracks and monitors capital spending to insure efficient capital expenditures.Coordinates all aspects of regulatory compliance for production area.Leads and coordinates the management of chemical treating, including H2S scavenging programs.Coordinates with field operations to control LOE.Tracks and monitors LOE spending to minimize spending while addressing maintenance issues.Provides technical support to field operations and workovers.Education / Experience PreferredMinimum of Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering or related engineering discipline.Minimum of 5 years of experience as an operations/production engineer, or similar engineering discipline in the upstream oil & gas industry.Strong background in deep, HP / HT, sour natural gas production and gas plant optimization.Conventional drilling, workover and completion experience.Demonstrated industry training in areas of natural gas production, artificial lift (particularly gas lift), stimulation, gas plant operations and economics.Must pass a pre-employment background check and a drug and alcohol test.Desired Skills / AttributesTakes initiative on identifying and executing projects that help grow the company.Strong leadership and time management skills.Demonstrated skill with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple, concurrent projects is essential.Good interpersonal skills, communication skills, and the ability to work in a team with others in management, regulatory, HSE and field operations are expected.Must be willing to relocate to Casper, WY.Flexible to travel for work purposes.Job Type: Full-time
