Summit Operating, LLC operates oil and gas assets in Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, and Oklahoma.We are looking for a Petroleum Engineer, with a focus on production maximization. This person will split time between our Orem, Utah and Vernal, Utah offices. A successful applicant will work closely with field personnel, to help maximize oil and gas production.Pay and benefits package will be competitive with the marketplace. Pay and benefits package may include equity participation in projects/assets pursued by Summit.ResponsibilitiesHighly proficient in monitoring the gathering and analyzing of daily production data such as oil, water and gas producing rates and pressures and temperatures and understands how to respond to the data to efficiently maximize hydrocarbon producing rate and operating profits.A mastery of understanding and analyzing lease operating expenses (LOE) is required.Proficiency in production system operations, including flow line heaters, separators, oil/water storage, metering and de-hy facilities, gas compression (sizing and setting), and artificial lift.Proficient in the planning and interpreting both open and cased hole logging operations and data.Proficiency in constructing or overseeing the construction of Authority For Expenditure (AFE) forms by determining and applying the proper per unit cost of each product and service to be used as described in a completion, workover or facilities installation project to assimilate the total cost estimate.Capable of demonstrating effective people skills to interact with partners, service providers, peers and support staff and field and wellsite personnel.Assists with hiring and retention of personnel.Other duties as assigned by management.QualificationsExperience in oilfield operations a plus.Ability to solve problems accurately and exceptional proficiency in interpreting production related data.Ability in developing self-directed teams to meet performance goals.Ability in developing team momentum, enthusiasm, and pride in company when accomplishing company goals.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.Ability to be a self-starter and to accomplish tasks in an entrepreneurial environment where there will not be micro-management and company imposed to-do lists.Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific ability to translate complex financial information into an organized and presentable manner.Outstanding management, administrative, and organizational skills.Proficiency in the use and application of the following software: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).EducationBachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in mechanical, civil, electrical, or petroleum engineering required.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $60,000.00 to $100,000.00 /yearRequired education:Bachelor's
