Description

Job Objective & Description: Evaluate conventional and unconventional oil & gas matured assets primarily focused on IOR/EOR opportunities. The role will be part of an acreage acquisition multi- disciplinary team, participating in data room visits, gather and analyze the provided information within a short period of time and more often with minimal or imperfect data. Should have advanced knowledge in implementation and optimization of waterfloods. The role is to provide expertise on maximizing production, reserve recovery and make recommendations on flooding options. Should be proficient in reservoir engineering and pattern management practices including material balance, injector optimization, conformance improvement, flood pattern options, and production forecasting. Ability to do simulation based waterflood analysis to predict water flood performances of a typical field pattern, determine sensitivity and uncertainty parameters. Experience in reservoir fluid sampling, fluid property modeling, and routine and special core analysis. Provide estimations of resource volumes and recoverable hydrocarbons using both probabilistic and deterministic volumetrics, EURs and recovery factors. Recommend reservoir surveillance plan (short and mid-term). Interpretation of production log measurements. Should be capable of making sound technical and economic recommendations on the future production performance of the asset, at well and asset level. Candidate with a proven record of successfully completing integrated reservoir studies involving reservoir description, reservoir modeling, and fluid and rock property generation is preferred. Must have a passion for innovative thinking, willing to apply latest technologies and possess a ‘can do’ attitude.Software Knowledge: Skilled in Production & Reservoir engineering software and Microsoft Office (Excel, word, power point etc.) Suite. Preference given to persons having experience in running Aries/PHDWin, MBal, Prosper/GAP, DSS Nexus, & Eclipse or their equivalent.Experience: 10 years of experience in a wide range of production engineering activities. A minimum of 3 years’ experience working on North American conventional and unconventional oil & gas fields. Experience in conventional mature oil fields under waterflood, including integrated operations of waterflood management system (oil/water separation, water treatment, injection facilities) is preferred.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent fieldUnder broad direction from the Senior Production/Reservoir Advisor and the Integrated Asset Management senior management and with support from engineering and operations staff across all Halliburton product service lines (PSL), the Production Advisor works within a senior, multi- discipline petrotechnical team to develop and apply advanced reservoir engineering techniques in support of the evaluation and development of potentially large, yet challenging oil and gas field development projects for potential investment by IAM. The Reservoir Advisor will support prospect evaluation work by providing historical offset well performance evaluation (production decline curve analysis), determination of reservoir rock and fluid properties, deterministic as well as probabilistic in-place hydrocarbon volumetric calculations, static reservoir modeling, dynamic reservoir simulation, well test analysis, field development/re-development planning, recommendations for production enhancement, EUR / recovery efficiency analysis, forecasts of future production performance, preliminary economic analysis, and other work related to reservoir understanding / development. Requires an undergraduate degree in petroleum engineering and a minimum of 10 years of experience in production engineering, which includes experience in an oil & gas operator.Job Type: TemporarySalary: $60.00 to $80.00 /hourExperience:Production/Petroleum Engineering: 10 years (Required)Education:Bachelor's (Required)Application Question:Have you read the job description and do you have the experience required?Work Location:One locationEmployment Length:4 - 6 monthsThis Job Is Ideal for Someone Who Is:Adaptable/flexible -- enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in directionDependable -- more reliable than spontaneousInnovative -- prefers working in unconventional ways or on tasks that require creativitySchedule:Monday to Friday8 hour shift
