Basic Function

Candidate will perform analysis and participate in engineering functions in the following applications.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Analyze the performance of oil and gas fields
  • Forecast the performance of wells and fields under different operating scenarios
  • Develop relationships between well performance and rock attributes
  • Collect, analyze, correlate and prepare for use and transmittal basic reservoir, drilling and production data such as:
  • Reservoir and production data in producing or drilling oil wells including gas-oil ratios, productivity and injectivity indices, formation productive capacities and completion effectiveness, bottom hole pressure and temperatures, daily plant operating data
  • Perform routine engineering work as required to provide day-to- day technical assistance and advice to the operating divisions
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required, Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering preferred
  • Two (2) years experience in engineering experience preferred but not required.
  • Basic understanding of reservoir engineering principles is desired
  • Ability to prepare highly technical reports and memoranda; be able to make oral/graphic presentations to all levels of management
  • The initiation, development and completion of major engineering studies require intelligence and imagination and comprehensive knowledge in all aspects of Petroleum Engineering; this position often requires original and unique approaches and solutions to difficult and diversified engineering problems
  • Must be able to communicate and comprehend English accurately, clearly and concisely at a level required to perform the job as outlined
  • Must possess good work habits, a strong work ethic, and be able to adhere to company work hours, policies, and standard business etiquette
