Description

Performs a variety of semi-skilled maintenance, construction, and repair tasks at the Boulder Reservoir. Position is for the duration of the summer.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists in the cleaning and maintenance of reservoir grounds and buildings. May include:
Waste and litter removal
Turf maintenance
Hardscape maintenance
Irrigation maintenance
Horticultural maintenance
Minor repair of buildings and structures
Responsible for assisting, organizing and supporting rentals and or special events. May include:
Event set up/ take down
Preparing areas for rentals
Performing post rental inspections and clean up
Monitoring special events
Safely operates and performs preventative maintenance on all city vehicles and equipment.
Works as part of a team, attending training, orientation and/or staff meetings as needed.
Assists other facility staff when needed, including in emergency situations.
Generally, duties are listed from most to least critical or time consuming.

QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Physical ability to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted.
Ability to work a variety of hours as assigned including holidays, weekends, early mornings, and late evenings.
Ability to perform a wide range of physical and manual tasks in an outdoor environment under a variety of weather conditions.
Ability to provide excellent customer service.
Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools.
Ability to work alone under general supervision
Valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to work special events on a variety of days and times.
Experience operating and/or maintaining outdoor sprinkler systems.
Ability to operate riding mowers, tractors, truck and trailers and other landscape equipment.
Current Red Cross or equivalent CPR/AED & First Aid certifications or ability to obtain certifications by date of hire.
