Some of the position details are below:Leads the planning, executing, monitoring and communicating formation evaluation and sample acquisition aspects of well delivery.Proven team playerExceptional communication skills, both written and oralExtraordinary level of attention to detail.Mentors and peer reviews early career geological operations team members’ workflowsConduct operational after-action reviews.Ability to work in a multi-disciplined team environment within a virtual work settingAbility to visualize complicated geological structures in three dimensions.Use SES or StarSteer to model subsurface geologic formationsResponsible for ensuring the highest quality of the team members’ reporting and ensuring the thorough integration of these deliverables.Works with both Regulatory specialists and Technical Data & Records Management to ensure that regulatory requirements are identified and understood, and that delivery of the right data & information is complete and on time.Coordinates with subsurface teams and well project team leaders on well planning, data acquisition and handling, sample logistics, laboratory analysis and processing, data dissemination and long-term storage.Ensure lessons learned are entered in the database, and where appropriate ensure relevant Standards and Procedures are updated to mitigate reoccurrence.Participates in continuous improvementEnsure Partner and Government Data Submission Requirements are metUnderstands fundamental concepts of geoscience including reservoir interpretation and characterization, as well as volume, risk, and value assessments.Understands the Geoscience planning requirements of the Well Delivery Process.Thorough understanding of Petra Geological Software.Understands how the formation evaluation program enables the thorough evaluation of the subsurface.Technically assures geological operations manual for each wellProvides operations support as required during downhole sampling.Conducts periodic geological service provider audits to ensure standards and procedures remain satisfactory.Reviews geological operations Standards and Procedures bi-annually for continued applicability.About YouBSc GeoscienceStrong personal organizational and leadership skillsAbility to commit to and deliver results on timeAbility to build consensus and alignment between business functionsHigh level technical communication skills, both oral and writtenStrong knowledge of Petra.Cultural sensitivity to a global working environment with demonstrated aptitude for inclusion and diversityAt least 2 year of recent (within last 4 years) geosteering experience.An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test.Proven project management skillsAdvanced problem solving and conflict resolution skillsExperience with drilling & completions operations, geoscience planning and operations, regulatory requirements, and joint venture or joint operating agreements.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $95,000.00 to $110,000.00 /yearExperience:relevant: 2 years (Preferred)Education:Bachelor's (Required)Application Question:Must be a Houston, TX local or willing to relocate to Houston, TXAdditional Compensation:BonusesWork Location:One locationMultiple locationsBenefits:Health insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceRetirement planPaid time offProfessional development assistance
