Dovre Group is pleased to offer the following key contract position: Operational Geologist

Work location; Stavanger

Contract periode; start date Q4 - Contract duration 1 year

Description:

Responsible for:

  • Arrange dataaquisitions meetings
  • Prepare formation pressure- and temperature prognosis
  • Brief Wellsite geologist (pre spud, during crew change and post well)
  • Being the main contact towards drilling and license within the project
  • Inform Lab regards coming possible jobs
  • Contract with Wellsite Geologists/ tender
  • Prepare EOW report (6 months) and final logs (composite log)
  • Startup meeting with project regards post well studies (Biostratigraphy, Geochemistry, etc.)
  • QC Data and reports from wellsite
  • Setup real time data and access rights for License partners and project members
  • Responsible for issue PO post well studies
  • Responsible for updating post well delivery sheet (reports from service comp)
  • Provide:
  • Attend daily morning- and afternoon meetings
  • Arrange G&G info meeting after morning meeting daily (i.e. 09:30 hrs 15 min), include POWells and Prod
  • Wells.
  • Arrange with facilities for Wellsite Geologist (Pc, correlation wells, access rights, etc.)
  • Pick csg and coring depths
  • Ensure picking of SWC depth in cooperation with License Geologist
  • Arrange post well meeting/14 day to update post well reporting

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Master in Geology and G&G operational experience
  • Experience:
  • Familiar with drilling operations
  • Good knowledge and experience with:
  • Mud logging
  • Coring operations
  • Logging While Drilling
  • Wireline Logging
  • Pore pressure monitoring (drilling parameters including gas and logs)
  • Well ties and log correlations
  • Familiar with G&G software for reporting an composite log

Personal qualities

  • Creative, open, responsible and entrepreneurial

  • Team oriented
  • Very good communicating skills
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
