Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Ensures timely & accurate delivery of comprehensive gelogical information for well programe preparation from 'spudding in' to the completion of all well activities including, incorporate tools required to geosteer and monitors well while being drillied, predict target depths, compiling geological data sheet, well profile and drilling progress chart for each well.
Prepares geological prognosis and identifies geological uncertainities.
Geosteers horizontal drains & monitors coring & mud logging programs and ensures compilance of agreed methods & techniques on site & in RTOC.
Participates in daily and monthly lessons learned meetings & reviews jointly Drilling & Reservoir Developmental Divisions, the progress made and lessons captured.
Carries out study when assigned to address problems related to coring, geosteering, drilling & well performace and submits appropriate recommendations.
Qualification Required
Bachelor's degree in Geological discipline or equivalent.
Experience Required
5-6 years in well-site geology & office-based sub-surface geology support, including 3 years in offshore geological operations with essential drilling and geosteering experience.
