Description
Basic Function
To perform analysis of well performance and preparation of reserve estimates using a variety of techniques including decline curve analysis and analytical modeling.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate oil and gas reservoir performance and depletion strategies.
Analyze actual field data and recommend new projects for increasing reserves.
Perform reserve evaluations estimating reserves and recoveries.
Develop engineering models integrating well performance/production forecasting.
Conduct reservoir simulations to predict reservoir performance.
Perform technical and economic evaluations to add reserves.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with field operations personnel.
Steward business results and make recommendations to increase asset value.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline is preferred.
Experience
A good grounding in Petroleum Engineering is required with a minimum 7 years of current oil/gas industry experience.
A solid understanding of the principles of field optimization, development and depletion planning is required.
Strong communications skills, including the ability to interact effectively with a broad range of technical specialists and partners are necessary.
The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and the ability to communicate results and interpretations to management.
Keen analytical skills and proficiency in Aries Petroleum Economic Evaluation Software are required.
