Reporting Relationships
The Reservoir Engineer reports directly to the Reservoir Engineering Manager and will work closely with members of the land and finance departments.

Basic Function
To perform analysis of well performance and preparation of reserve estimates using a variety of techniques including decline curve analysis and analytical modeling.

Key Responsibilities
Evaluate oil and gas reservoir performance and depletion strategies.
Conduct internal reserve and economic evaluation of acquisition, exploration, drilling, recompletion, and workover opportunities utilizing appropriate economic and engineering applications.
Develop engineering models integrating well performance/production forecasting.
Perform technical and economic evaluations to add reserves.
Steward business results and make recommendations to increase asset value.
Complete budgeting, forecasting, and reserve/economic analysis for year-end reserve reporting on existing assets.

The Candidate
Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline is preferred.

Degreed Engineer with 5+ years of industry experience in: Reservoir Engineering, well performance analysis, reserve estimation, and economic/risk analysis.
Experience in preparing annual reserves estimations in accordance with SEC and SPE guidelines
A solid understanding of the principles of field optimization, development, and depletion planning is required.
Excellent communication skills
The employee must be self-directed and have the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and the ability to communicate results and interpretations to management.
Proficient in ARIES, MS Excel, MS Access, and standard evaluation software
