Job Purpose/Key Objectives:

The Offshore Asset Development Manager oversees all development activities for the Company's offshore opportunity.Asset consist of blocks within shallow and deep-water currently under exploration, appraisal and development
The jobholder will directly influence appraisal activities, subsurface modeling and development planning. He/she will report directly to the Chief Technical Officer and is part of the deep-water development leadership team.
The jobholder will be expected to develop and maintain an up-to-date understanding of the subsurface as new data is acquired, lead the subsurface team in maturing the development options through the maturation funnel through to Final Investment Decision (FID).

Principal Accountabilities:

Ensure coordination between Development, Well Engineering and Subsea departments for the execution of the project, following standard project management process and well delivery process requirements.
Compliance with the well integrity management system for offshore fields and assuring complete embedment of Safety Health Environment and Security (SHES) of critical activities in well proposals and Field Development Planning (FDP) within the Bonga WRM/well delivery team.
Facilitate discipline assurance of all subsurface technical work, following the relevant control frameworks and making effective use of peer challenge and other Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes.
Sharing and gathering/implementing best practices and learning to/from the competitors and asset teams in other regions.
Maintain corporate memory for the asset area ensuring all key data and studies results are properly maintained and managed using designated Records systems.
Ensuring the development of staff capabilities via on-the-job coaching and training, workshops and formal training events and other staff development activities and processes.
Setting and delivering business plan targets on offshore development project delivery, Hydrocarbon maturation plan, reserves additions, costs estimation and growth aspiration, Safety Health Environment and Security, integrity, production and existing assets management.
Managing and ensuring integration of Technical Economic Commercial Operation and Political aspects for all projects.
Managing, challenging and controlling offshore asset, CAPEX and OPEX budgets with partners / joint venture approval as may be required.
Developing and executing operators technical influencing strategies and ensure partners alignment.
Developing and executing technical strategies to maximize production and value for the existing assets and safeguard their integrity in cooperation with the Operator.
Ensure appropriate technology deployment on projects and operations.
Develop future projects to mature remaining volumes.
Setting and delivering business plan targets on development project delivery, hydrocarbon maturation, reserves additions, costs and growth, Safety Health Environment and Security, integrity, production and existing assets management.
Managing and ensuring integration of Technical Economic Commercial Operation and Political aspects for all projects.
Managing, challenging and controlling Joint Venture CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
Developing and executing operator technical influencing strategies and ensure partners alignment.
Developing and executing technical strategies to maximize production and value for the existing assets and safeguard their integrity in cooperation with the Operator.

Job Knowledge, Skills & Educational Requirement:Qualifications

Bachelors of Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
MSc or PhD in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Experience

Experienced technical professional, with a minimum of 15 years' experience in one of the core Petroleum or Production Engineering disciplines, including senior technical responsibilities.
In-depth knowledge of petroleum engineering theory and practice.

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

Solid grounding in Petroleum Engineering and the fundamentals of Geoscience and a good understanding of the risks and technical issues associated with subsurface, wells and surface development opportunities.
Strong technical foundation with the ability to work independently, as well as challenge and support others.
Well-developed communication skill with ability to interface well with Partners and regulatory bodies and ability to work in an integrated multi-disciplinary and diverse cultural environment.
Drilling and production experience is essential.
Candidate must have well developed inter-personal skills and above all must be a team player, capable of drawing together a diverse group of individuals from different cultural backgrounds and a proven track record for generating opportunities and delivering business results.
Good knowledge of standard drilling engineering software.
