Should carry out or supervises the collection, the processing and description of cuttings samples, from the planned lagged depths and intervals. The samples are examined for hydrocarbon shows and described according to client specifications.Should logs the rock types from the drilled cuttings at the well site, monitors the well parameters; he should maintains sensors and gas equipment.Should collects and enters the rig and well data. He is responsible for communicating any information that helps maintain Primary Well Control and general well integrity during well site operations. This includes caving monitoring, gas variation, cut mud, trip monitoring, and corresponding alarm settings, etc. He completes the mud volume balance sheet when tripping and alert the desired representative of company of discrepancies.The primary objective of the Mud Logger is to assist in the efficient acquisition of well data during well site operations for the exploitation of hydrocarbons and other natural resources.Should assist in core recovery and core description when required.Should ensure the design of an accurate and comprehensive Master Log according to the client's format.Mud logger should regularly updates all logs so that all information required to complete the Final Well Report is identified, monitored, recorded, and available for its inclusion into the final report. He should updates the End of Well Report section concerning the sample collection, dispatch and lithological descriptionHe must be aware of, and respect all safety regulations and procedures, as specified by the Client, relevant safety authorities.The Mud Logger should ensure the highest standard of content and presentation for all master logs.The Mud Logger should keep the confidentiality of the Client’s well data, which should not be released to anyone without written approval from the Client.
