Job Summary: 6 am to 6 pm; Per diem 35$/day & $0.54/mileGeological experts that are responsible for gathering, processing and monitoring information pertaining to drilling operations. They don’t only collect data using specialist data acquisition techniques – they also collect oil samples and detect gases using state-of-the-art equipment, such as chromatographs and binocular microscopes.Responsibilities: All equipment and sensors are maintained, serviced and calibrated according to standard company operating procedures.The unit diary, spare parts inventory, equipment status reports, calibration reports and other specified equipment monitoring reports are kept up to date.Perform or supervise the collection of cuttings samples, from the proper lagged depths and at the proper intervals as required for evaluation.Examine and describe samples as per oil industry standards and client’s specifications. Descriptions are to be performed in order for the company to provide an independent evaluation of the well.Interpreting information and feeding it back to the drilling team to enhance safety and success.Submit daily reports concerning geological and drilling parameters to the Client representative, as well as any other requested reports or documents.Ensure a high standard of quality for installation, operation and service of equipment.Job Types: Full-time, ContractSalary: $13.00 to $15.00 /hourExperience:Mud Logging: 1 yearLocation:Midland, TX
