POSITION SUMMARY:
 
 
 

Marathon Oil is currently seeking an Operations Coordinator based in Carlsbad, NM, supporting the Permian Asset Team.- The position will be accountable for managing and supporting the asset teams in following Management of Change workflows, and communicating the health of the process via existing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reports. Candidates should enjoy working with data and processes in a fast paced, team environment. -The successful candidate will be very organized, communicates well, computer proficient, understands the importance of process and preferably has process experience. Training will be provided for each of our Marathon specific systems that mange our processes.
 
 
 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
 

Recommends new or modified programs, processes, procedures, standards, policies, etc. to enhance company-wide HES&S performance through the HES&S Management System
Develop and maintain the Management System framework document, including the Elements and Expectations, recommending enhancements and ensuring periodic formal review and update
Develop and manage execution of annual ROMS plan.
Provides leadership, guidance and direction to Asset ROMS Coordinators, Element Owners and Technical Advisors.- Fosters communication, provides information and obtains key performance indicators regarding implementation of ROMS

Owner and technical focal point for the electronic system utilized to manage the Management of Change system (MOC) & the Responsible Operations Management System (ROMS) requests within the Permian asset
Develops and enhances the corporate HES&S Management System and implementation at the enterprise and organizational levels
Creates and processes requests through the electronic system
Updates KPIs, prepares and distributes reports to communicate the overall health of the MOC process
Utilizes KPI information to expedite individuals as appropriate to maintain a healthy system and ensure MOC/ROM requests are processed in a timely manner
Supports the ROMS Steering Committee, Element Owners and Technical Advisors in monitoring the status of HES&S management system implementationDevelops and maintains enterprise-wide communications and training regarding HES&S Management System including any materials and the SharePoint siteProvides support and training in the use of the electronic MOC system and associated process workflowsLiaises with other assets and corporate personnel to continuously improve our processes and electronic systemCollaborate and work closely with all multi-disciplinary teams such as HES, Facilities Engineering, Construction, Maintenance, Integrity, and Production etc.Maintaining the project lessons learned database, distributing and tracking action item statusProvides implementation support to Business Units and serves as HES&S Management System Subject Matter Expert as neededEducation: High school diploma. Associates or Bachelors a plus.Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal supervision.Detail oriented and organized. Self-motivated, strong communication, collaboration and influence skills.Experience in managing large data sets of information.Software: Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office products.Oil and gas experience or process related experience.
Working knowledge of oil and gas processing facilities.
Management of Change experience.
