ESME valves are of U.K. origin and are manufactured to customer specifications at our Basingstoke Factory. Approved to ISO9001 and qualified to PED and ATEX.ESME Valves manufacture valves of the following types and sizes.Self-actuated pressure regulators for the control of steam, fluids and gases in body sizes ¼” to 6″.Air pilot operated pressure regulators for the control of steam, fluids and gases in body sizes 1″ to 8″.Direct pilot operated pressure regulators for the control of steam and fluids in body sizes 2″ to 8″.THE ROLE.As part of a significant transformation programme ESME Valves has an urgent requirement to take on a Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing Engineer assisting our sales and design office with product sales and our new range development. Working directly with the management team this new role offers great opportunities to put your stamp on a growing business and see real results both to the business and your progression.The main purpose of the role is:Working with the design and contract sales engineers preparing quotations, drawings, bill of materials, procurement and sizing valves to our global and local customer base.Checking that ESME are meeting both client and international Oil and Gas specificationsLiaising with all departments to ensure the highest levels of quality are maintainedSelecting and procuring materials required.Design and development of new product rangesCreate and maintain detailed bill of materials for the final designManagement of the component librariesAssisting with the implementation and tidy up of the engineering document and component systemCreating drawings and modelling existing partsImplementing service improvementsPromoting good engineering practices at all timesThe candidate will have the following attributes:You will ideally have successfully held roles in manufacturing businesses where you were actually part of the day to day operations, having to know what is going on from the suppliers through to the customersExperience of Valve manufacture and castings would be idealProduct designERP/MRP system experience - ideally Omnis /Smart VisionExperience of 3D CAD/CAM ideallyComfortable with multi-tasking and working within a fast paced environment.Able to communicate at all levels with the ability to talk to people of various educational, social and ethnic backgrounds across the worldExcellent communication skills, confident in communicating face to face, email and by telephone or in writing.Strong attention to details with a problem solving methodical approach - you will be able to analyse data, review and write documentationAble to analyse, improve and implement new processesBe flexible to travel if required at any timeAbility to work on own initiative and as a team memberProficient IT Skills with Microsoft Office tools and comfortable creating schedules, templates and reportsIn return, ESME offers a competitive salary, pension as well as great career development opportunities and the prospect of advancement with in successful and well established business.Job Type: Full-timeJob Location:Basingstoke RG21Required experience:Mechanical Engineering: 2 yearsManufacturing: 1 year
