About the job
You are responsible for design, build and optimisation of production tools, equipment and machinery. You ensure that the production lines run with the right balance between cost and stability. As Mechanical Engineer Production you use your prior experience and expertise to analyse mechanical systems, suggest changes for improvement and build equipment. This is an all-round function that requires global understanding of all the main engineering elements: design, component manufacturing, hydraulics, pneumatics and 3D modelling. It is appreciated if you have a basic understanding of electrical and measurement systems as well as industrial automation.
Designing and implementing improvements to production and pipe handling equipment
Creating concept designs of next generation production equipment
Carrying out strength and performance calculations of (future) equipment
Making technical assessments of systems, designs and drawings
Calculating cost estimations in concept and detailed design
Creating proposals and business cases for (large) improvement projects
Supporting maintenance organisation in analysing, solving and preventing malfunctions
Performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
Creating documentation for CE, maintenance and operating instructions
Performing Continuous Improvement projects
Skills and experience
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
At least 5 years of relevant work experience
Experience in design and build of production machines
Experience in running and supporting machines in a production line environment
Strong analytical skills
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Good command of English and sufficient command of Dutch to communicate with process operators

You will be part of the Production Line Engineers Team. The team is a multi-disciplinary team of engineers that carries out and optimises the TCP manufacturing processes, and works closely with the production operators. You will also work closely with the Manufacturing Development Team that improves the manufacturing processes.
