Job Summary
This role manages and provides technical support for the gas storage function to ensure safe operation and optimum delivery of company and jointly owned storage assets. Manages and has primary responsibility for the verification of storage pool inventory and assessment of ongoing and extraordinary gas losses in the DETI reservoirs. Manages cost effective development or re-engineering of existing storage pools to create new product offerings. Reviews/assesses/recommends the acquisition or development of potential new gas storage assets. Ensures that performance levels of storage reservoirs are consistent with customer obligations. Develops and monitors winter withdrawal and summer injection operating plans for use in the optimization of the storage asset. Ensures compliance of storage reservoirs with FERC certification, PHMSA regulations, and State regulatory Oil and Gas Commissions. Represents company for Gas Storage in operating committees, industry, trade and regulatory compliance groups. Manages technical studies and integrity plans to ensure safe, compliant and reliable storage assets are in place. Coordinates, participates in, and prepares information for semi-annual partnership meetings. Oversees preparation of Operating reports for storage pools. Oversees standardized development and updating of Storage Integrity Management Program standards and procedures. Oversees storage well risk ranking program. Oversees preparation of reports on remaining production reserves estimates associated with production assets. Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
Required: 10+ years of experience in a supervisory, engineering and/or geologic support role.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of storage pools, storage pool operations, reservoir engineering and geology.
Knowledge of well permitting by state.
Knowledge of conventional sandstone reservoirs, reef structures, and/or aquifer storage containers.
Knowledge of engineering principles, standards and practices.
Knowledge of company operations and natural gas industry.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements (FERC, PHMSA, EPA, OSHA, API, ASME, etc.)
Knowledge of company capital and operating budget procedures.
Ability to proficiently operate a personal computer.
Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to establish and maintain rapport with internal and external customers.
Ability to communicate effectively and develop rapport with employees at all levels.
Ability to develop, direct and motivate a staff in a team environment.
Demonstrated leadership and managerial skills.

Professional Engineering License
Six Sigma experience/certification
Education Requirements
Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Master , Required: Bachelor
Disciplines: Required: Engineering, Geology Bachelor
Disciplines: Preferred: Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering
