Location: Denver, Colorado
Based in Denver, the Manager, Reservoir Solutions, will lead a multi-disciplinary team of petro-technical experts and direct completions optimization, field development and reservoir characterization projects. This high impact, highly paced position requires a sound technical foundation, keen knowledge of US onshore plays, and excellent management and communication skills. Based on a strong command of reservoir development and basin analysis techniques, the successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of quality solutions in support of our clients’ exploration efforts and reservoir development challenges.
Your responsibilities will include:
Abiding by and enforcing Premier’s policies at all times, including our QHSES (Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Security) policy.
Directing and working with geologists, geo-modelers, petrophysicists, geomechanical, completions and reservoir engineers to:
Perform volumetric calculations;
Review and recommend RCA and SCAL testing and integrate analysis into models;
Generate rock properties from core data and PVT relationships from testing data;
Integrate core, log and other multi-domain data & technologies into the evaluation;
Develop integrated static models based on geophysical, geological, geomechanical and petrophysical input;
Perform rate-transient and decline curve analyses;
Perform single and multi-well (field) reservoir simulation modeling (history matching and forecasting);
Perform basic stochastic modeling to understand basin focus/ alignment/ technology application; and,
Develop asset optimization strategies to continuously improve the economic performance of the asset.
Becoming knowledgeable and competent in the Company's unconventional and conventional technologies.
Working independently to drive deliverables for completion and field modeling, evaluation, & production optimization.
MSc in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline, with research focus on Reservoir Simulation preferred.
Extensive unconventional experience – working on integrated field development projects that engage multidisciplinary teams.
Must be proficient at fracture modeling (pressure history matching, diagnostics analysis, pressure analysis, etc.) using StimPlan/GOFHER, diagnostics design, evaluation and execution.
Demonstrated technical maturity and flexibility to adjust to change.
Good data management and computer literacy.
Working knowledge of other technical disciplines including reservoir, petrophysics, geology and geomechanics.
Self-starter with strong interpersonal as well as communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a cross functional team and develop good working relationships within the team and across the Company is essential.
Strong teamwork, presentation, and people skills; in addition to possessing the adaptability required to perform in a consulting services environment
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular, full-time basis without restrictions.
15 years’ experience in petroleum reservoir/completions engineering, including field experience.
