The Manager, Reservoir oversees engineers within the Reservoir Characterization team in the Anadarko Basin. This position is in The Woodlands, TX, office.
The scope of responsibilities includes, but is not limited to, direction and oversight of the engineering team’s activities related to parent/child well relationships and mitigation, flow back management best practices, optimization of infill DSUs, and interaction with the geologic manager/team to provide an integrated interpretation of the data. This position provides strategic optimization for the development team and coordinates with the interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best information/data interpretation is communicated for improved results. The Manager, Reservoir will promote communication and foster team contribution to deliver results consistent with the defined goals of the assigned area.
work with Reservoir Characterization leadership team to lead projects to enhance geologic and reservoir understanding in the Anadarko basin
coordinate Reservoir Characterization support for tech reviews and well approvals, as well as depletion plan and budget
accountable for delivering on team goals and development of engineering staff
participate in technical and decision reviews as a member of the management team, and provide opinions on projects to meet the operating area goals
communicate critical information updates on projects to Senior Manager weekly, and work together as a Reservoir Characterization team to communicate to the area vice president monthly
foster multidisciplinary integration environment and ensure project deliverables meet business requirements
develop and communicate technical work for the assigned team
partner with geologic Reservoir Characterization manager to ensure integrated solutions with project planning deliverables and project schedules
provide leadership and strategic direction to reservoir engineers and technical support professionals
partner with other engineering managers in the development team to ensure open communication and solutions to issues are delivered
work with other Reservoir Characterization team leaders to provide ample knowledge sharing opportunities and proactive shared learnings to ensure solutions are delivered to other operating areas quickly
direct and oversee the simulation modeling within the STACK/SCOOP
provide direction and input into the multi-variate analysis efforts within the basin
support continued integration into the development decisions in the basin
provide direction for professional development of staff to stay current with leading edge industry intelligence and technology
must be legally eligible to work in the U.S
Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering
10+ years of experience as a Reservoir Engineer, preferred Anadarko basin experience
experience managing multiple technical teams across different disciplines
expert knowledge of reservoir modeling, data analytics, rate transient analysis, and economic assessment
strong interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels of the organization
unconventional play experience preferred
experience in managing integrated field studies, optimized field exploitation plans, and the identification of growth opportunities
demonstrated ability to interact with a variety of contacts, both internal and external, including management, industry partners and auditors
must be self-motivated, have a thirst for knowledge, and be receptive to new ideas and approaches
must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
must be comfortable giving formal presentations
