Generally responsible for all Reservoir Engineering activities and projects of the team relating to the optimization of production, reservoir data management, exploitation planning, development guidance, budgeting, and reserves. Responsible for the selection, training, and supervision of all RE staff. Will execute projects with limited operational oversight.

This role will be responsible for covering a wide range of duties inclusive of:

Management of RE personnel (engineers & engineering technicians)
Field development guidance & well proposal review
Oversight on all capital project proposals
Economic reviews & quality control of all economics from RE team
Acquisition & divestiture assistance when necessary
Budget building and quality control – Quarterly updates
Reserves management and bi-annual process lead
Accrual guidance and review
Mentorship & technical guidance for RE team
Reviews and support for technical work delivered by the RE team
Management presentation materials
Work Experience Requirements

10 years + of industry experience
Preferred 5+ years of experience in RE role
Management experience beneficial
Experience leading an active development/drilling program
Ability to analyze technical data (production, logs, maps, etc) from both public and internal sources
Significant economic evaluations experience
High levels of proficiency with Aires and Excel – small and large scale economic modeling inclusive of sensitivity analysis. Highly proficient with Excel and related tools (pivot).
Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
Strong communication skills – written and verbal
Self-starter who will generate ideas to optimize field development
Team player – works well within a group setting & comfortable integrating with all functional groups within the company
Strong organizational & multi-tasking skills
Capable of mentoring within RE team as well as other disciplines
Flexible – able to react to changing priorities
Education Requirements

Petroleum Engineering Degree – minimum of Bachelors of Science
Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Degree – will be considered if applicant has extensive reservoir engineering training and experience
