Description

To manage, lead and develop Geology & Geophysics team in delivering the key department’s requirement i.e FDP, FFR and PDR. This includes other G&G; routine works i.e exploration and appraisal planning, supporting new ventures etc. and technically peer review all of the subsurface studies (especially static model, G&G; evaluation). Ensure the robustness of the study prior to delivering to PETRONAS, JV and Tokyo Headquarter.

 Accountable and responsible to continuously report to JX NIPPON Management on the all geological and geophysical related studies, tasks, schedules and budget.

 Periodically, perform scouting of exploration and development activities in the region to look into new ventures opportunities/ potentials including monitoring the Work Programme & Budget and also monitoring contractors’ performance to ensure the timeliness and cost efficiency of projects.

 Lead, manage and monitor all drilling operations and support quick evaluations for way forward operational decision.

 Manage, collect, evaluate, integrate and synthesize regional and also field geological and geophysical data/information.

 Manage and accountable on all G&G; related outcomes including but not limited to in-house seismic interpretation and geological & geophysical modelling, continuously monitor and update in-house evaluation, study and any out-sourced studies.

 Accountable for all G&G; data quality control with full professionalism and integrity in meeting PPGUA requirements.

 Manage, lead and summarized all related G&G; outcomes, technical reports and presentation materials to superior for all studies and assessment, HCIPP, including presentation to all JX NIPPON’s team, JV Partners and PETRONAS and publishing technical papers (if necessary).

 Accountable to coach and identify the career development apart from educating junior G&G; staffs to ensure sustainability of workforce.

 Propose application of new technology (if necessary).

Requirements:
 B. Science in Geology from recognized University or equivalent.

 M. Science in Petroleum Geology would be an advantage.

 Minimum 15 years working experience in exploration and development activities work in the oil and gas industry.

 Familiar with PETRONAS policies and procedures.

 Proficient in PETREL and other G&G; interpretation software.
