Responsibilities include: Applying expert knowledge of seismic logging products and technology to provide technical and operational expertise to external customer; performing pre-job planning, job execution, post-job analysis and overall performance of company assets on most complex projects; participating in the training and development of operators and Associate Field Professionals in areas of expertise; promoting and ensuring compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and Service Quality (SQ) standards, practices and guidelines; utilizing Company tools and technology to acquire pressure transient analysis, sampling of hydrocarbons, fresh and saltwater fluid samples from a downhole environment under extreme high pressure and temperature; retrieving samples to surface, and transferring them into a suitable pressure containing equipment for transport to a fluid analysis laboratory; performing all pre-job planning and preparation for seismic tools and run tools on location; collecting log data and providing a well log for the client using logging software; utilizing open-hole wireline equipment and personnel to function downhole equipment with respect to motors, hydraulic valve selection, and all electrically powered downhole tools; and, planning offshore and land jobs for equipment needs, and placement, and days needed to complete job to meet client expectations. Up to 50% domestic travel to client sites required.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or related field and 5 years of work experience in job offered or 5 years related experience in seismic logging engineering. Must have 3 years of experience with each of the following:
1) Organizing complex wireline and seismic operations, and choosing appropriate equipment to handle well pressures and temperatures, to meet all client objectives on deepwater Gulf of Mexico jobs;
2) Managing a wireline crew of up to 12 subordinates, utilizing their skills and knowledge to complete jobs, and keeping the crew focused on critical safety measures and equipment to ensure a safe worksite; and
3) Troubleshooting to diagnose and repair tool problems onsite.
