The selected candidate will work in close cooperation with the Exploration Manager and should have ability to work both in licence or access work:
License work on Equinor operated and partner operated licences
Maturation of a drillable prospect inventory, with clear accountability for developing and managing a prospect database with high focus on acreage access through nomination, bid rounds or business development opportunities
Ability to integrate regional understanding with new and existing play concepts, combine multiple seismic and well data and zoom in at a prospect scale
Broad experience in 2D and 3D seismic interpretation, prospect generation and reservoir characterisation. A broad knowledge of geophysical software applications is essential
Broad knowledge of the value chain: access, discovery, development, production; needed to deliver on the portfolio
Experience with subsurface QC and approval processes
Expected to develop an internal network and to promote contacts and establish good external relationships
Expected to develop and make recommendations to EXP Management and to take responsibility for timely delivery of projects
Some travel required
Masters degree in geoscience or equivalent
Strong technical and commercial understanding; and experience with exploration, development, and/or production processes
Demonstrated experience in prospect/field scale seismic interpretation is required
Experience in the carbonate presalt play
Strong background in quantitative interpretation methods and rock physics modelling.
Familiarity with seismic acquisition and processing methods
Familiarity with industry-standard decision gates and approval points
The candidate should be open to diverse business task flows and appreciative of multiple avenues to success in an exploration company
Capable of dealing with large and varied digital data sets
Be proactive and perform work in a structured and systematical way
Business oriented and flexible mindset. Ability to draw conclusions with focus on critical success factors
