An excellent job opportunity with the leading Oil & Gas company, where the incumbent will provide hands on reservoir engineering activities within the Company’s assets and/or new business opportunities to ensure proper implementation of development plans designed to optimize or improve ultimate recovery.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Health, Safety & Environment

Monitors and ensures compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls within a defined area of reservoir activity to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

2. Projects Screening & Pilot Designs

Carries out screening studies to evaluate IOR/EOR options considering reservoir conditions, and commercial and technical feasibility.

Recommends and advises management as to the optimum EOR/IOR option or pilot design based on Techno-economic analysis.

3. Field Development/Depletion Plans

Carries out the investigation of problems related to reservoirs exploitation and recommend suitable solutions. Include the use of new tools, logging techniques, studies, etc.

Identifies IOR opportunities or methods like artificial lift, productivity enhancement, completion techniques and pressure maintenance methods, to improve HC recovery.

Estimates ranges of economic and ultimate recovery factors to rank development options.

Participates in the formulation, implementation and monitoring of development plans covering recovery method, injection fluids, location and number of wells, production, injection targets, etc.

4. Technologies

Keeps abreast of technological development in the field of improved HC recovery.

Draws on the experience of other major oil/gas companies to ensure application of latest reservoir management technology.

Evaluates / recommends trials of new technologies. Facilitates technical workshops.

5. Leadership

Participates in the training and development of assigned less experienced or national reservoir engineers. Include monitoring and reporting on progress and counseling employees, as required.

6. Communication Skills

Makes clear and concise presentations to communicate ideas and persuade others to accept a specific opinion or action.

Writes technical reports to document the screening study results, field development plans, technical evaluation results, etc.

7. Budgets and Business Planning

Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Participates in forecasting the Team’s and the company’s Business Unit’s business plans.

Qualification Required:
A Bachelor's degree in Petroleum/Reservoir engineering. A Master's degree in reservoir engineering is preferred.

Experience Required:
Minimum 15 year of experience in the reservoir engineering which at least 5 years (on-the-job experience) in EOR/IOR projects would be required.
