Shell develops and operates some of the largest and most complex projects in the world and we always endeavor to work at the leading edge of technical innovation.   Job Description: The position holder will be a key member of the Shell Trinidad and Tobago Ltds (STTL) Development team with accountability in both Developments and the WRFM team within Upstream Asset Operations Organisation. The position holders primary responsibilities and accountabilities are to deliver and provide Production Technology support to the development projectsto ensure compliance with well integrity management standardsto provide expert Production Technology advice and consultancy to STTLs assetsto support and provide guidance to STTLs WRFM teamtechnical assurance (TA2) authority for PT asset activityLead PT within the STTL organisationmentor and coach the assets PTs.As the Lead PT, the position holder is responsible for ensuring the quality of the PT work, compliance with Shells standards and internal controls frameworks. The lead PT shall liaise closely with other subsurface, operational and well engineering and CWI leads on subsurface, wells and operations issues and with the Development manager, Global Discipline Head, asset and operational managers on organizational issues.The Lead Production technologist is also expected to actively contribute to continuous improvements efforts to drive improvements across all aspects of the work.  The key elements of the position are as follows:HSSE Provide visible and demonstrable HSSE leadership.Consideration of HSSE in every aspect of the job, including building safety into design and caring for themselves and those around them.Well Integrity Management. BUSINESS TA-2 responsibilities for the PT function, in particular for Well Integrity Management.Responsible for delivery of the PT scope of work of SSTLs development projects.Responsible for overall oversight and leadership of production technology support to Well Integrity Management, WRFM activities, business planning for all development, assets and exploration activities.Provide comprehensive Production Technology expertise to Well Integrity Management, WRFM activities, for all development, assets and exploration activities.Use expertise to mature new wells/ projects through the ORP in the SELECT, DEFINE, and EXECUTE phases.  This will include early screening of well designs to select the optimal concept and accountability for the Well Functional Specifications to ensure safe and efficient delivery of.Ensure timely and effective data acquisition and analysis of well/reservoir data using standard workflows, storage and analysis applications.Lead & champion Production Technology improvement initiatives for the Trinidad asset and maintain a portfolio of improvement opportunities.Ensure the IPSM models are up to date to ensure effective management of producing fields and prospects to support credible production forecasting to maximize value, meet business plan targets and support NBD growth opportunities.Responsible for production technology inputs to Resource Volume estimates and Reporting in accordance with the relevant company standards and regulatory requirements.Provide production technology support & advisory, frontline quality control and assurance (TA2 assessed preferred or TA2 assessment to be expected early in role at the TA2 level) for studies, business planning and ARPR activities for all the Trinidad assets.Develop & maintain productive working relationships with the Operations, Well engineering and Exploration teams. Ensuring timely communication of analysis & results of production technology activities, for effective optimization of field development plans and growth opportunities.Technical Committee Representative for Trinidad Asset as required for PT related items and be responsible for maintaining & managing good working relationship with JV partners to ensure approval of asset development and surveillance plans.Participate in technical interactions with the Ministry of Energy and Energy Affairs for the Trinidad Asset and participate in external presentations and quarterly progress meetings.Lead and accountable for developing a strong internal PT community in STTL with strong relationships to the broader Shell PT community. Technical improvement plans focused on mentorship, coaching, knowledge sharing etc. to help improve technical competence levels and performance.   DimensionsThe Lead PT will be expected to work as part of an integrated development team to mature wells and projects through the ORS in the SELECT, DEFINE and EXECUTE phases.  This will include optimizing well and completion designs and determining optimal evaluation plans. The Lead Production Technology will be expected to provide assurance and support the PTs in the WRFM team, contribute towards work planning and provides first line quality assurance for other PT staff within the assets. Five Production Technologists will be working in the T&T; Assets (WRFM team). These PTs will be supporting day to day production operation, well integrity and WRFM efforts.The role has influence over decisions taken by Asset Management for efficient business delivery. The job holder make recommendations on potential impacts on productivity, data gathering programs for including technical scope, duration and resources required and training of Production Technologists.  Job Requirements:  A seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience and relevant degree in Petroleum Engineering discipline Demonstrable track record of continuous training and development throughout career.Technical Authority 2 certificationExperienced and versatile Production Technologist able to demonstrate experience across the full range of  PT competencies.A wide knowledge across the subsurface and surface disciplines to allow effective integration with the ability to ask the right questions.Team player and able to work effectively as part of a dynamic, high-performing, multi-discipline, multi-cultural team.Experience with high rate gas wells, subsea completions and sand control preferredThis position requires a production technologist with a sound knowledge of petroleumem engineering principles, a practical mind and a good working knowledge of the operations environment.Ability to build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders from other disciplines (Well Engineering, Production Excellence, C&P;) and JV partnersPossess good handson technical knowledge and experience of relevant production technology software (Petroleume expert suite, PTA analysis, Production logging ananlyis, ) and workflows.
