Accountable for performing complex functional tasks / assignments and implementing original technical solutions
Recommend cost efficient & fit-for-purpose logging programs to ensure proper evaluation of drilled wells; review and challenge formation evaluation work programs / deliverables submitted by BOs and Operators (non-operated wells)
Coordinate & supervise (onsite & remote) logging operations; perform QC of acquired data to ensure that Contractor delivers according to contract; organize & perform service quality reviews
Perform petrophysical analysis of log data (single well analysis) and assist customer in decision making
Provide discipline specific quality assurance to peer assists and peer reviews, contribute to management & functional reviews
Define technical standards / requirements (SoW, technical specs, …) to support procurement in preparation of tender documents for Wireline & LWD services; perform technical evaluation of received offers and give recommendations for contract award
Prepare, maintain, update relevant logging guidelines & procedures
Mentor & coach less experienced petrophysical department staff; transfer knowledge & good practices across OMV
University degree in Geosciences, Petroleum Engineering or related discipline with at least 10 years of relevant industry experience
Advanced expert in Operations Petrophysics with comprehensive understanding of logging tools and deployment methods
Proven ability to apply proper petrophysical interpretation techniques and software packages (Techlog) in all kind of environments (clastic / carbonate reservoirs); Be proficient in interpreting latest generation of log data (like NMR, sonic spectral data, etc.)
Broad knowledge of interdependencies, capable to manage workflows with neighbouring disciplines
Worked on assignments across a range of reservoirs & countries; proven technical track record in delivery of quality projects
Basic knowledge of German language is an advantage
