BHGE requires a Senior Petrophysicist to support the subsurface scope of work, including the following activities:
Undertake petrophysical interpretation and analysis using appropriate techniques and technologies for the ASP flooding projects.
Provide petrophysical input to multi-disciplinary subsurface teams. This will include geomodelling support and resource estimation using the correct tools for ASP flooding.
Present data, interpretation and reports to internal and external clients either individually or as part of the larger subsurface team.
Advise internal and external clients on petrophysics matters, often at a senior level.
Support colleagues by assisting them with petrophysics knowledge.
Petrophysical review of current field performance
Interface with the ASP formulation development and core flood teams
MWD and LWD logging
Development of subsurface concept for ASP pilot
Pilot design optimization
Pilot performance monitoring and interpretation
3D geological modelling
Sensitivities on reservoir parameters
Recommended full field development plan
BS, MSc or PhD degree in earth science or physics.
10+ years in the E&P business, with proven skills in formation evaluation from either a consultancy or an operator.
The candidate should have substantial experience in the following core competencies:
Well log interpretation
Conventional and special core analysis
Rigorous, comprehensive petrophysical analyses, single-well or field level
Familiarity with 3D geological modelling and reservoir simulation, especially the requirements expected of petrophysicists and the way petrophysical deliverables are used.
Knowledge of industry standard petrophysical software.
Experience in the following areas would be an advantage:
Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) including chemical EOR
Cased-hole and production logging
Fluent written and spoken English.
Good presentation skills.
Management or supervisory experience is welcome but not essential in this technical specialist function.
