Description

Perenco UK is a subsidiary of Perenco, an international oil and gas exploration and production company with subsidiaries in Latin America, Africa and South East Asia. This role is available in our Wytch Farm (Dorset) oil business and is an excellent opportunity to join our Petroleum Engineering team.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Petroleum Engineer and will work within an integrated team to support the operations and wells teams. As a Junior Production Engineer you will be responsible for the daily production and losses monitoring and losses classification. You will be the single point of contact with hydrocarbon accounts and produce weekly forecasting and well testing interpretation. Working hours are Monday to Friday.
Key responsibilities include

Reviewing the daily production and making sure the reports are correct.
Review production allocation and correct if required.
Reviewing daily losses and classify them. Follow up on the losses if required in order to minimise them and improve production
SPA between Operations and Hydrocarbon accounts in SNS
Month end and data reports review and later on generation
Well testing program - work closely with the Petroleum Engineers to generate a well testing program and implement it with the Operation team. Interpret well testing results and discuss them with responsible Petroleum Engineer.
Responsible for weekly production forecast and 180 days forecast
Upload allocation data into OFM
Production meeting support, gathering slides and chairing the meeting at a later stage.

Experience/Qualifications

University degree in Engineering, preferably Petroleum Engineering, Geoscience or equivalent education/experience
A good understanding of Petroleum Engineering is required along with any of the broader skills.
Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, etc.) and knowledge of petroleum engineering programs.
Strong communications skills, including the ability to interact effectively with a broad range of disciplines.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and the ability to communicate results and interpretations to management.
