This role will be responsible for supporting and completing detailed asset evaluations and analyses, including the integration of engineering, geosciences and financial information, and will work on a blend of divestiture, acquisition and merger mandates. Specifically, the role will be responsible for integrating key technical aspects from engineering, geological, financial and land sources into a concise economic evaluation, reservoir and asset description, upside identification and other interpretation related products. The incumbent will also assist in the preparation, writing, and delivery of various marketing and presentation documents.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Professional Engineer designation or EIT progressing towards designation)
4-7 years combined exploitation engineering and business development/ A&D work experience in the North American Oil and Gas industry; weighted towards WCSB is preferred
Direct experience in exploiting and evaluating resource oil and gas plays and conversant in understanding horizontal drilling and multistage completion technologies
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment
Complete understanding of decline analysis, derivation of type curves, and integration of supporting technical information to assist in asset characterization and economic value determination
Excellent communication (listening, speaking, writing) and presentation skills
Ability to determine, critique and calculate OOIP, OGIP etc. and the impact from physical and reservoir influences
Excellent interpersonal skills; a strong ability to work with various technical and financial disciplines and capability to represent the firm with current and future clients
Ability to manage multiple, changing priorities and meet deadlines
Strong working knowledge with industry databases such as geoSCOUT or Accumap, Xi, industry economic programs such as Value Navigator or Mosaic, and the Office suite of software products
