As a Geologist/Hydrologist, you will support site characterization/remediation projects for a range of clients. You will have the opportunity to work with integrated project teams and support field and office related tasks. As a member of our field project teams, youll characterize soil, groundwater, perform routine sampling and testing in either a lead or support role, and oversee specialty subcontractors. You will also support data analysis, prepare technical reports for clients or other stakeholders, work with Health and Safety managers to develop/implement safety plans, and interact with internal team members in the local office, as well as regional and firm-wide staff. The candidate must promote safety leadership, accountability, and increase safety awareness to prevent employee and subcontractor injuries. •Bachelors of Science (degree completed at time of application) in Geology or Hydrogeology. •To be considered for this role, you must have 6 months to 1 years of environmental consulting experience or equivalent geological experience •Must be able to perform field work, obtain/maintain 40-hr HAZWOPER certification, and demonstrate a strong commitment to Health and Safety. •Possess strong writing, verbal communication, and leadership skills. •Self-motivated, team-focused professional self-starter. • Ability to demonstrate willingness and aptitude to perform field work in a variety of weather conditions. •Must be able be in the field up to 100% of the time, including local sites and sites that will require overnight travel up to 50% of the time. •Experience with Microsoft Office applications. • Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record.Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
