EMGS is the market leader in Electromagnetic (EM) Technology and we are now looking for an Interpretation Advisor to be a key part of our Production group in Oslo. This is a fantastic opportunity for a high calibre geologist who wants to make an impact in relation to EMGS products and services to our clients. Main purpose of the position: · Play an active role in the quality control of EMGS products · Support EMGS customers when integrating CSEM data with other data types in order to ensure value creation from EMGS products · Generate interpretation material from multiclient datasets for sales and marketing purposes Overall responsibilities In this position you will be responsible for the interpretation component of production projects, as well as for developing interpretation material from multiclient datasets for sales and marketing purposes. You will be providing on-site consultancy in relation to interpretation assistance to clients as well as contributing to the sales of both proprietary and multi-client projects for the sales team. Other key tasks and responsibilities: · Drive and focus interpretation projects based on regional geological knowledge, understanding of customer objectives, and how each of these can be related to existing EMGS customer solutions. · Collaborate with the sales team for MC project development · Project manager responsibilities: - Product QA, in conjunction with the project QA Geophysicist - Leading dataset interpretation, typically in conjunction with the customer (acting as an interpretation facilitator) in customer offices · Capable of taking responsibility in the sales process, when needed and directed: - Pre-sales: opportunity identification, qualification (assessment of meeting customer objectives), contracting (interpretation technical proposals & tender responses) - Post-project "interpretation understanding" assistance · Provide local customer training in the application of the EM method to address their problems. · Contribute to the further development of sales and training material relating to customer solutions, under the coordination of the corporate function · Feed information on customer need and process adoption back to the corporate function to aid in development-prioritization Who are we looking for? Ideally you will have experience from working for an E&P; company with a minimum of 5 years’ experience together with a Master of Science within geology, geophysics or related topics. You have a thorough understanding of geology technology and worked with integrating several datatypes to better understand the regional geology as well as generation and risking of prospects. An advantage would be if you have knowledge of EMGS products. You like to be hands-on with projects and eager to learn new technologies to fill existing gaps in an E&P; workflow.
