Description

The Colorado
Petroleum Council, a division of the American Petroleum Institute, is looking
for interns interested in learning all aspects of the oil and natural gas
industry. The interns who fill the positions are expected to learn about the
different opportunities within the industry ranging from government affairs and
regulatory policy to field operations and community engagement. During the internship, the interns will shadow
Colorado Petroleum Council personnel, depending on what opportunities we are
engaged in at the time. This will include attending meetings with member
companies, spending time at the state capitol, and attending regulatory
meetings. In addition, this program will provide exposure to oil and gas
operations here in Colorado. The Colorado Petroleum Council will work with our
member companies to provide opportunities for operation site visits and other
relevant activities.

Responsible
for helping to maintain reports and documentation on a weekly basis.Assist
in creating and designing a social media engagement plan. The goal of this task
will be to come up with a plan for the Colorado Petroleum Council’s social
media platform to increase engagement. Assist
in providing fresh ideas on engaging millennials in Colorado.Assist
with research projects.Assist
in planning, organizing and staffing special events.Assist
in organizing and formatting handouts, letters, and presentations.

Requirements

The
intern must hold a 3.2 grade point average minimum prior to the internship and
must maintain this GPA throughout the duration of the internship.Interest
