Description

Wood Environment & Infrastructure is currently seeking a fulltime permanent Intermediate / Senior Geoscientist to join our team in Burlington, ON. Key Responsibilities Project management;Project logistics and scheduling;Available for field work drill rig supervision, geologic mapping, rock core logging and aggregate test pitting, and site survey;Laboratory testing using test methods such as CSA, ASTM, OPSS for soils, aggregates, concrete and construction materials;Report writing of field project work and laboratory results/findings.

Skills / Qualifications

Post Secondary degree in Geology, Science Earth Sciences, or similar work experience;Previous geology experience 7 - 10 years;Field experience;Detail oriented;Organized;Team oriented;Self-Motivated;Willing to learn.Experience with Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), an asset;MTO Qualification for Testing AVS on MTO Contracts, an asset;CCIL Certified Petrographic Analyst, an asset;Understanding of aggregate resourcing, an assetUnderstanding of natural aggregate with regard to construction materials, an assetLaboratory testing experience, an asset;Microscopic skills, an asset;GIS, an asset;CAD, an asset;Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, an asset;
