This position requires a self-motivated individual to be a part of our day to day operations, supporting and enhancing our field operations and well performance. Production engineers analyze wells, system and financial performance to determine enhancement and cost reduction potential. Candidates are expected to be capable of handling most routine problems independently.Specialized opportunities in the company include the opportunity to work with enhanced oil recovery from CO2 miscible flood, deep basin and heavy oil.Working with the Sr Production Engineers, and Reservoir Engineer key areas of responsibility include:Know and follow all company policies and procedures, including production, safety and regulatory procedures.Production and budget performance monitoring, forecasting and enhancementExceptional relationships with field operations in the assigned field(s)Analyze well, artificial lift and infrastructure performance to determine optimization opportunitiesConduct detailed multidisciplinary well reviews to enhance field understanding and performance.Drive activity to improve performance and reduce capitalWork effectively with Production Accounting staff to ensure accuracy in PVR and provide accurate information about flow and meter questions and issues as they may ariseAssist in planning and execution of field and facility projects.Ensure all regulatory requirements are being met and properly documented.Maintain continuous understanding of operating costs and key cost drivers. Identify and drive cost saving initiativesAssist with reservoir modelling and production strategies.Monitor and approve invoicing (through Open Invoice) to ensure accuracy and prompt payment to vendors.Other duties as assigned.Candidate Summary:Knowledge of regulatory requirements.Positive attitude and strong sense of team commitment.Above average decision-making skills.Strong communication skills.Strong organizational abilities.Positive attitude.Ability to be open minded and thinking “outside the box” is an asset.Qualifications:Bachelor Science in Engineering or Diploma in Engineering TechnologyMinimum of 5 years Operations or Production Engineering experienceValid Class 5 Driver’s LicenseFacility Engineering experience would be an assetSoftware experience in Accumap, ValNav, Wellview, Excel, Powerpoint, Zed-iMust be able to work collaboratively in small, fast paced teamsProfessional, team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop and maintain partnershipsAdaptable to changing priorities,Strategic thinker with exemplary analytical and problem solving skills and capacity to identify information and resources needed to complete tasksExceptional organizational and time management skillsClear understanding of shut-in well review process, include IWCP and D13 requirements.Job Type: Full-time
