Job Description
The Foster Creek Production Engineering team is looking to fill a Calgary-based interim assignment of Foster Creek Production Engineer. Reporting to the Manager, Foster Creek Production Engineering, the primary responsibility is to manage and optimize SAGD wells and identify value add opportunities.
This position is a full time, interim position, located in our downtown Calgary office. Cenovus employees who take on interim assignments will return to their previous role upon completion of their term.
Well operation and production optimization, including:
Surface / subsurface interactions and troubleshooting,
Conformance and splitter shifts,
Improving ESP run life,
Reducing workover opex,
DTS interpretation,
Well tests.
Ensuring proper ESP sizing and ensuring the ESP MOC process during pump changes.
Interactions with a wide variety of interdisciplinary teams (well servicing / completions, operations, process engineering, reservoir engineering, geology) to identify and execute value driven opportunities.
Special projects related to production engineering.
Providing occasional weekend coverage support for our Field Production Engineer.

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
Professional Engineer registered with APEGA.
Working knowledge of the SAGD process is an asset.
Demonstrated capability to learn new concepts quickly.
Ability to interact with multi-disciplinary teams.
Self-starter, adaptable, pragmatic.
